Clinical has ordered over £70K of new fold rollers to refurbish 23 of their Herzog & Heymann folding machines. The company has 47 Herzog & Heymann folders in total.
The new rollers will enable Clinical to achieve more accurate folding tolerances whilst improving the efficency of the folding units.
The rollers are planned to be fitted over the next 2 months and will complete phase 1 of Clinical's £300K investment programme for 2015/2016.
Clinical already have 2 off-line ram punching machines that they have used for many years, but the time has come to increase their capabilities in the die cutting market due to sustained high demand.
This purchase kicks off their new 5 year investment plan which will see them invest in new markets whilst enhancing their existing range of add on services to our customers.
2015 sees Leicester based Clinical Print Finishers celebrate 40 years of miniature print finishing. Clinical have long been established as the leading miniature finishing specialist in Europe but did you know that this started with just one second hand folding machine back in the 1970’s ?
In 1975 Senator Print Finishers was formed by Clinical owner and Chairman, Alvin Brown, and his partner Danny Martin. The company‘s core business was traditional cutting, folding and saddle stitching, but after recognising a gap in the marketplace, they bought their first Herzog & Heymann miniature folding machine.
The one miniature folding machine quickly became two and in the following years became four. The pharmaceutical folding division of Senator was formed as a separate company in 1993 and Clinical Print Finishers (UK) Ltd was born.
Housed in a purpose built factory and concentrating purely on pharmaceutical print finishing, Clinical soon became very successful in its own right and Alvin Brown sold Senator Print Finishers in the year 2000 to focus solely on Clinical.
In the last fifteen years Clinical have invested over £5,000,000 in equipment and plant facilities. Much of this investment has been in equipment that has been the first of a kind in the UK as well as bespoke machines that have been built within Clinical’s in-house engineering facility.
Clinical now have over 40 machines in production and while miniature folding is still a key part of the business, the company is now a major producer of Z fold cards as well as bespoke mini mailers, die-cut leaflets and booklets and a wide range of other services.
After the popularity of the Clinical factory tours in 2014, we will continue to offer an open invitation to those of you who would like to visit us.
We are proud of our production facilities here in Leicester, with over 40 machines in production and a huge range of add-on equipment.
If you would like a personal tour of the factory then we would be delighted to show you around. Please contact any member of our team and we gladly arrange your tour.
